Its been a long time coming, but here we go... I mean here I go. Okay, for starters, my official "weigh-in" weight is 290 lbs. I believe that is heavier than I have ever been. I am a little taller than 6 ft., but still noticeably overweight. And today is my official start date.
One of the first things I did was to get rid of my computer chair, and in its place I put a nice exercise bike. I would have put the treadmill there but it wouldn't fit and the bike just barely. I also have a place to stand by the bike to work on the computer as well, like now.
I think it is a good idea to check your weight once a week, for a couple of  reasons. First, it is much easier to keep track of your weight when you do it weekly.  Second, and most important, you won't get down if you don't lose any weight on certain days, or lose just one pound when you think you should have lost more. When you see your total for the week and see a significant weight loss, you will be feeling good, which will in turn spur you on for more.
Okay, now that I have said that, I think I might do a little differently for this blog. You know, for the entertainment value.Ha,ha. Seriously, I think I will weigh myself twice a week or so, probably more in the beginning. Encouragement from anyone is greatly appreciated.
