We went to the nice, big park in Waukegan, and we all had a fun time climbing, swinging, and sliding!
Rebekah, Judah, and Elizabeth all ran in the Labor Day race. There were 146 runners in all. Rebekah got first place in her category, Elizabeth got first in hers, and Judah got second in his. But as for the competition between the three of them, Judah came in first , Elizabeth second, and Rebekah third. Ruth and I took photos of them, and most of the family came to cheer them on!
All the sisters went out for a day! The top slideshow has pictures of us at an Indian/settler reenactment. We went there for the first part of the day, and it was really neat to see all the things that were set up. The bottom slideshow shows us at the Chicago Botanic Garden, where we went for the rest of the time. It is so pretty to see it in August because all of the flowers are in bloom. When it's so hot out, it sure is nice to go to the beach! It is close enough for us to walk there, and the kids enjoy splashing in the water.
We built more than 50 puzzles - they were all 100 pieces each. They fit perfectly on our table and we had a fun time arranging them all. Even Joshua, Seth, and Isaiah helped in building them all!
It was such a nice day outside that we had a picnic at the park. It was fun since almost the whole family was able to go!
We participated in a walk supporting the right to life!
Recently, the Zion-Benton Public Library held a bookmark contest for kids. Each year, they have a different theme; this time the theme was: "Have Book--Will Travel!"
